InvigoratEU Mid-Term conference

The InvigoratEU Mid-Term Conference will take place May 13th in Brussels and will be organised by the Trans European Policy Studies Association.

The conference will start at 09:30. Panel discussions will focus on diverse topics relating to the future of EU enlargement, including the security and defence dimension, social cohesion and economic convergence, connectivity, democracy, and others. InvigoratEU kickoff conference

The InvigoratEU kick-off conference took place in Tbilisi on 20 and 21 February! The first day included a welcome address, an introduction of every consortium member and a discussion on organizational issues. The second day was divided into three blocks and focused on content, including a presentation of the conceptual framework and a discussion on methodology and on how the different elements of the project are interconnected.  The conference was rounded off by 2 public panel discussions. The first panel addressed the question: “How to reform the EU’s enlargement policy in a new geopolitical phase?“ The topic of the second panel was: ”Geopolitical challenges and opportunities for the EU and the Western Balkans, Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.” Watch the video below for a recording of both panels:

After the conference, the consortium members were invited to a reception at the Presidential Residence hosted by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who delivered a speech on Georgia’s efforts to join the European Union and the importance of cross boarder cooperation within the scientific community.
